The WASTEWISE MAP is underway in Italy

The first WASTEWISE Italian Multi-Actor Platform (MAP) meeting took place in Rome on 30 March, attended by seven stakeholders: Hera, Last Minute Market, Cittadinanzattiva, Unionfood, Qualità e servizi s.p.a, the Food Bank and WWF.

Following the welcome and introduction of the participants, members of the Italian WASTEWISE team gave a presentation on the state of food waste policy entitled ‘Between ambition and reality: the coherence of policies on food loss and waste’. This was followed by an interactive session in which potential measures to reduce food waste and losses were identified and the integration of these proposals was discussed. Finally, participants completed the MAP questionnaire.
